When life is all too hard and overwhelming, this is what's needed. Time here, at the coast at sunset, looking out at deep blue-green water, listening to crashing waves against shorelines, and exploring rugged rocky coastlines. 
 
The sound of the waves soothing, the warmth of the sinking sun embracing, the salty breezes awakening...combined they give me time to reflect, unwind, shift mindset, and find hope. When I can't be at the coast, painting it becomes what's needed instead. It brings purpose, encouragement, contentment, and the hope and strength needed to keep going.
