"... capturing light, painting hope."
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
  • Can I return an artwork if it's not suitable?
Yes! But there are conditions. I insure and ship all my artwork safely in secure, sturdy packaging and boxes that are watertight and dual layered. Artworks must be returned the same way, so please retain all this if you wish to return your painting. Alternatively, you can take it to your local 'Pack and Send' who will take care of the safe packaging and shipping for you. Artworks must be returned within 7 days from the date you received it and all return costs, including insurance against damage, are worn by you the buyer. NB: Damage during return transit will result in a NIL refund, so insurance is essential for your own peace of mind. Please refer to my section on Shipping and Returns at the footer of my website for more information on my return policy.
  • I'm an international buyer - how do I purchase?
Get in touch! I've shipped all over the world to Canada, USA, UK, Sweden, NZ, Austria, Ireland, and lots of places in between. My checkout is not equipped to calculate international shipping, so contact me and I'll arrange an international postage quote and send an invoice for you to action. All artwork is shipped internationally with insurance, and where possible, express.
  • What is the commission process?
Get in touch at any time to discuss commissions. I usually have a 2-3 month wait time, and will 'close' commissions if I am booked up, reopening them every quarter. A 30% deposit is applicable. Commission pricing is usually 15-20% more than my standard retail pricing as I'm working with you to bring your vision to life, and that requires extra time, communication, planning, and the expectation to get it right for you.
  • What paints do you use?
My favourite paints to use are acrylics by Derivan Matisse (Structures and Flows), and Atelier Interactives. I also occasionally use Liquitex and Golden brands. Paintwork is protected by two layers of artist quality varnish to ensure your artwork is sealed and protected for many years to come.
  • What type of canvases and frames do you use?
I have wonderful Australian suppliers that custom make all my canvases and frames. Ranging from high quality 12 oz stretched cottons, to 450 gsm polycottons, to 500 gsm Belgian linens, all substrates are stretched on hardwood timber. Frames are generally solid Tasmanian or American Oak, although I am able to source white and black woodgrains, walnuts, beech, whitewash, and blackwood timber frames too.
  • What do I receive when purchasing an artwork?
All my art is signed on the front, and the title, date, signature and copyright is recorded on the back. You will also receive a separate signed Certificate of Authenticity which includes my artist statement/inspiration for your particular artwork, as outlined on the individual listing.
