"I thank God for this; for the ability to paint, for this place, for the colours that make my heart sing, for the emotion it evokes, and the exhale it forces. 
 
I thank God for this; for the memories that resurface, for the anticipation of holidays to come, for the moments that linger long after I leave.
 
I thank God for this: for the beauty in a dusk sky, for the sound of waves meeting shoreline, for the breeze that carries away tension and frustrations. 
 
And then,
 
For the reminder of new hope in every day, a peace that passes all understanding, and a joy and light that darkness can't steal...I thank God for this."
