Sometimes it feels like we just start to get over one of life's battles before another comes our way. Much like the unrelenting waves that continually rise up and batter the shoreline, sadly for way too many of us,  life can be like that.

I take comfort painting the coast because while the coast is often a metaphor for life, it in itself brings healing and hope. Hope in the form of the late afternoon breeze that comes to sweep away the day's frustrations, the dusk that falls to signal an end to the day and it's struggles, and hope by way of the persistent waves that way to stiller waters as they meet the safety of the shoreline.

Sometimes all we can do is wait for those waves to break - because they always do. Patience, perseverance, and a persistent hope is what keeps us moving through one day to the next. I trust you have this hope too.

NB: While every effort is made to capture the true colours and details of my artwork, every screen is different and art viewed online does not do my work justice. Slight differences may be evident between a screen image and the true tone and textures of my work, which is more vivid and beautiful in reality. Scale may also be slightly off due to the insitu art app used, so please ensure you measure your space.
