There's a defining beauty that comes from deep within what’s broken. It's a beauty unlike any other. It's not a readily seen or describable beauty, superficial to the outside world - not how society sees beauty. This kind of beauty stems from a deep, dark place, in the messy and tragic, in the pain and the suffering. It's the beauty of self discovery....of healing.
Each new day, tiny seeds of hope are nurtured and slowly grow, deep within. They eventually get bigger until they find their way to where hope is needed most...our spirits, hearts, and souls. Then we begin to bloom again. In our own way. In our own time. Our hearts slowly begin to piece together all the broken shards that we thought would never be whole again. Until eventually, we see the beauty we thought we'd never see. From the broken darkness we emerge stronger, more resilient...we find beauty more beautiful than ever before.
This expressive painting of pretty abstract florals emerging defiant from darkness is inspired by these thoughts. I hope you too can find "Beauty in the Breaking".
NB: While every effort is made to capture the true colours and details of my artwork, every screen is different and art viewed online does not do my work justice. Slight differences may be evident between a screen image and the true tone of my work which is more vivid and beautiful in reality.
