As days go by many things change - but others stay the same. The coast in it's rugged beauty is slowly changing; tides are rising, sand erosion is more prevalent, and sleepy quiet beaches are becoming more populated and commercialised. But the hope the beach instils, the beauty it holds, the emotions it conjures...that all stays the same for me. You?
 
At the coast, in any season, I can inhale and exhale the frustrations and cares and struggles of the day to day. Here it's different. Here I can rest, find peace, contentment healing...hope. 
 
The days that go by when I'm not at the coast, I find myself painting it. The ability to create rugged coastlines and sweeping skies and tempest waters on a canvas, that in itself is healing, and moves the days along until I'm beachside again in reality.
