Nightfall. Midnight. Stormy. Moody. Dark. Except it's not. Darkness is extinguished by light. With even the slightest glimpse of light, darkness fades. Through trials and sufferings it's easy to succumb to darkness. I'm reminded that darkness can't exist when light is present. So I look for the light. It is here in the darkness where light begins.
The moonlight over an ocean is a reminder of that for me. As dark as it first appears, if you look long enough, you'll see the light's rays dancing on the shoreline below, catching the crest of waves as they fall, and illuminating a path forward to wander along. I'm thankful for the light that guides me...however small, it's enough to lead me home.
NB: While every effort is made to capture the true colours and details of my artwork, every screen is different and art viewed online does not do my work justice. Slight differences may be evident between a screen image and the true tone of my work which is more vivid and beautiful in reality. Scale may also be slightly off due to the insitu art app used, so please ensure you measure your space. Thank you!
