When Dark and Light Collide
33 x 33 x 5.5 cm
Framed in Oak
Acrylic on Stretched Canvas
When days are dark and nights are long and the weight of the world seems to bear down on me, I take comfort in the knowledge that light will come. You see the thing I've learnt about darkness is, it can't exist with light. When dark and light collide the darkness immediately fades. It can't stay dark. It has no choice but to give in to the light. The light wins...every single time.
This dark and moody seascape depicting a stormy night sky over the coastline is inspired by these thoughts. Expressive in creation and emotion, it brings me comfort in the same way my thoughts do. I can't help but be inspired and reminded that light will always supersede the darkness...when light and dark collide.
NB: While every effort is made to capture the true colours and details of my artwork, every screen is different and art viewed online does not do my work justice. Slight differences may be evident between a screen image and the true tone and textures of my work, which is more vivid and beautiful in reality. Scale may also be slightly off due to the insitu art app used, so please ensure you measure your space.
