When constantly faced with storms in our life it's sometimes easier to just let go and be consumed by the pain and exhaustion...than it is to fight. As a result we spiral further into what seems like a bottomless pit of despair and darkness. Do you know this feeling?
Sadly, I've had recent years of painful trauma, grief and loss, endless health issues and with what seemed no end in sight, I've just had to cope. Had to fight. For my kids, for my health, for my family. But I haven't been alone. Through it all there's been glimmers of hope and light. Light in the kindness and compassion of strangers, hope in the hurting through praying friends and family, and silver linings that have shone through the darkness at just right the moment to inspire, encourage, and move us forward.
Now when dark, stormy seasons threaten (and they always will), I choose to look for their silver linings, knowing they will be there. Sometimes though, I just need to look a little longer and harder to find them.
This evoking artwork while dark and dramatic, inspires and encourages me with it's contrasting light and warmth; a reminder to keep fighting, keep looking, keep persevering...there's light to be found in those silver linings.
I hope this artwork will encourage and inspire you through dark and stormy times too.
NB: While every effort is made to capture the true colours and details of my artwork, every screen is different and art viewed online does not do my work justice. Slight differences may be evident between a screen image and the true tone and textures of my work, which is more vivid and beautiful in reality. Scale may also be slightly off due to the insitu art app used, so please ensure you measure your space.
