Summer's in Australia mean longer days and for lots of us, holidays spent on the coast in an effort to cool off from the heat. Sometimes though, even at the coast, there's no escaping the incessant heat until the sun sets and the sky fills with all shades of lilacs and pinks heralding dusk. I love this time of day, when the earth below is tinged with lavender, and the warm haze of Summer slowly gives way to a cooler evening sky, bringing much needed reprieve.
 
This little coastal landscape is inspired by these moments.
