In Search of Grace

Acrylic on Belgian Linen
Grace. My favourite word. Strong in faith, grace is what holds me. Grace is the assurance that despite my short comings, failures, mistakes made, I'm assured salvation by a gracious, forgiving, loving God. Grace means I don't need to be perfect. What is imparted to me as grace I then try and impart to others. In kindness, compassion, patience, understanding, empathy, love. But I fall short. Sadly, we all do. None of us are perfect. We therefore need grace.
This beautiful seascape on natural linen has grace as it's base layer. A raw fabric that without priming and paint is nothing but a blank linen canvas. Add layers of patience, time, intention, and a desire to create something beautiful, and a new story comes to life. A beautiful story of new hope...only found when first in search of grace.
NB: While every effort is made to capture the true colours and details of my artwork, every screen is different and art viewed online does not do my work justice. Slight differences may be evident between a screen image and the true tone of my work which is more vivid and beautiful in reality. Scale may also be slightly off due to the insitu art app used, so please ensure you measure your space. Thank you!
