Coming Into View
33 x 33 x 5.5 cm
Framed in Tas Oak
Acrylic on 500 gsm Pure Linen
This artwork on linen is inspired by various views of our lakes and the Brindabella and Great Dividing Ranges here in Canberra where I live. We have several large lakes through and around our beautiful city. This view is a pared back interpretation of several of the lakes - if I was to take away all the 'busy' and 'clutter' of the suburbs and dwellings and just focus on the beauty of the landscape. Hence the name, what comes into view is lush banks, nature reserves and parks, landmark waterways, all embraced by a heralding sunset over the distant ranges.
NB: While every effort is made to capture the true colours and details of my artwork, every screen is different and art viewed online does not do my work justice. Slight differences may be evident between a screen image and the true tone of my work which is more vivid and beautiful in reality. Scale may also be slightly off due to the insitu art app used, so please ensure you measure your space. Thank you!
