I love this little seascape. The lone tree in the foreground - seemingly dwarfed by the land, sea, and sky around it - is actually a symbol to me of steadfast faith. The small pretty tree is firmly rooted deep and standing strong. It radiates the gorgeous colours of each warm sunrise and sunset overhead, and absorbs the refreshing waters at it's feet; nurtured, beautiful, defiant. Despite the seasonal elements that shift and change, it survives.

A metaphor for those of us that feel alone during long trials, painful seasons, and dark days? We may feel lonely in our despair, but compassion, healing, and hope is available to us if we not only look within ourselves, but also look to those around us for guidance, support and comfort. As hard as that can be. Sometimes instead of dwelling in the dark depths of our sufferings, to find light we need only to look up.

NB: While every effort is made to capture the true colours and details of my artwork, every screen is different and art viewed online does not do my work justice. Slight differences may be evident between a screen image and the true tone of my work which is more vivid and beautiful in reality. Scale may also be slightly off due to the insitu art app used, so please ensure you measure your space. Thank you!
