Catch My Breath…then Exhale
94 x 94 x 5.5 cm
Framed in Tas Oak
Acrylic on Stretched Canvas
I really needed some time out recently, to catch my breath…and exhale. The coast gave me that opportunity, first in reality on the South Coast of NSW (for a very wet windswept few days), and secondly, in the form of this painting. I always say art is my therapy, and in this particular seascape it truly was.
Created on artist quality stretched poly cotton canvas, this emotive artwork came to life with the stroke of the palette knife on every exhale. It is a beautiful harmony of blues and greens and warm greys and browns. It invites you in, imploring you to look closer at the details and textures; to pause, exhale...catch your breath.
NB: While every effort is made to capture the true colours and details of my artwork, every screen is different and art viewed online does not do my work justice. Slight differences may be evident between a screen image and the true tone of my work which is more vivid and beautiful in reality. Scale may also be slightly off due to the insitu art app used, so please ensure you measure your space. Thank you!
