At The End of The Rainbow
64 x 79 x 5.5 cm
White Timber or Oak Frame
Acrylic on Artist Quality Cotton
Growing up I was always taught that rainbows were God’s promise that he’d never again send rains to flood the whole earth like he did when Noah had to build the Ark and take shelter with 2 of every animal. A rainbow was a sign of a promise made. Over time it’s been adapted for kids stories with a pot of gold at the end, or a place where magical fairies or unicorns live, and now these days it’s on flags for the LGBTQI. Regardless of what you believe, there’s one thing in common with all…it’s a sign of Hope. And of something better.
Rainbows over the coastline, or just after rain over lush green valleys, fill me with such hope, a usually well timed reminder to keep persevering, to keep choosing light over dark…to keep hoping. Hope is what I choose to see at the end of the rainbow. How about you?
NB: While every effort is made to capture the true colours and details of my artwork, every screen is different and art viewed online does not do my work justice. Slight differences may be evident between a screen image and the true tone of my work which is more vivid and beautiful in reality. Scale may also be slightly off due to the insitu art app used, so please ensure you measure your space. Thank you!
